Plugin, Theme, and Core WordPress Updates.
I’ll apply these updates for you in an ongoing manner. Updates are important for your site, as they are often made available to patch against know vulnerabilities which can be used to exploit or hack your site. They also provide the latest functionality. I take a backup before applying any updates, so I can restore your site should there be If any issues or conflicts caused by the updates, and I’ll let you know if there are any problems with updating your site.
PHP Version Updates.
I’ll update your hosting so that your site is using a recent version of PHP. This can help with website performance. If any of the components of your website aren’t compatible with recent PHP versions, I’ll revert the change and liaise with you to come to a solution that suits your needs.
Security Plugin Installation and Configuration.
I’ll install and configure a security plugin to mitigate brute force attacks and commonly exploited aspects of websites. I’ll also check to see if you’re inadvertently using any plugins or themes that are vulnerable or no longer receiving updates.
Vulnerability Scanning.
I’ll scan your site to ensure that you’re not inadvertently using any plugins or themes that contain known vulnerabilities. Any found vulnerabilities will either be patched, or mitigated. In the event that patching or mitigation can’t be undertaken, I’ll liaise with you to find a suitable solution.
